Tyres and wear
« on: 28 August 2008, 22:20 »
It seems my front tyres both have 3mm tread left on them, and the two rears each have 6mm tread.

Am I better swapping the wheels around, front to back etc?  Which end is best to have the thickest tread until I get new rubber?

I suspected it'd be better to have the thicker tread at the front, seeing as the front wheels do the majority of the work.  I'll do it tomorrow night ready for my road trip.  Must check my preasure too!!

By a pressure checker and a double barrel foot pump and it can all be done at home.

Just swapped the wheels over.  Bugger me I sh!t myself jacking the car up!  I was jacking the front, and the rear started to lift up substantially!!  Is that normal?
