....Yes and No. Whereas the V6 soundtrack is to die for if on Millteks, it would make it a much heavier car in feel to drive and take away nimbleness imo.

I dont drive it like a tit, most of the time my 1 year old is in it with me.

....Why should your driving style change because of who your passengers are?

It shouldn't make any difference whatsoever how old or young, relatives or not. Whether you are driving fast or slowly, drive safely and according to the conditions. You don't "drive it like a tit" when you are on your own do you?

I've got to say RR that I drive diffrently when there are people in car with me as I feel resbonsible for them. Unless its my brother in law who loves speed I think I more or less drive like any old granny when someone else is in the car (which thankfully isnt that offten). Most of the time I do it subconciusly.

What I found strange in E30, is that the outside part of the seats, those facing hand-brake, are not leather!  I thought seats were supposed to be half leather half alcantra, but obviously VW saved a buck by saving on some leather. Instead, there is gray material of some sort. I find that kind of penny-pinching disgusting.

Lol RR, no need to go through the pros and cons (for the 100th time). I think for most people the GTI is the better buy and I can understand why. Friendly ribbing, couldn't resist ;-)

Car was at 64K which I should add is the first brake pad change.

First brake pad change??

My Astra was 2006 and as it hit 14,000 miles it sounded like a bandwagon coming down the road, had to get new discs and pads.
sorry but my vaux looks far better than the mk5 gti, thats why i bought it  faster too

On that note.....I was helping my g/f look for cars yesterday and we went to look at corsa's and they had a couple of those corsa VXR's on the forecourt and I have to admit I was impressed with the looks and the stats.  197PS in something the size of a soap dish   I'm guessing they can give a GTI a bloody nose?  No class though  :smug:

Sorry for the hi jack.

My new pet hate about mine and it's starting to bug the $hit out of me..
When the car is wet or been rained on and has standing water on the roof, if you go round a bend with your window open you get bloody soaked and your door card becomes the river mississippi..
