Not legal.  Don't do it.

Replace your bulbs with posh standard wattage bulbs (Philips or similar) and fit a relay kit to ensure the bulbs get the full 12-13V and perform as they should.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Yep, The philips and osram one have both received some goods reviews in the MK5 section in the past.

I use the Philips X-treme power sidelight bulbs along side the Bi-xenon's as they give a much cleaner white light.

I don't think blue tints are strictly legal, but those Nightbreakers would be legal, provided they're within the specified wattage for full and dip beams.

I was thinking of HIDs which are thoroughly not legal - 'normal' bulbs are less of an issue.

Go for the orsam nightbreakers....they are 90% light where as the philips ones are "only" 80%

The blue ones are legal as they only look blue (as in the bulb) I have blue sidelights but when on they're bright white.

I agree kells.

have had a lot of the other bulbs, and they didnt last very long and didnt produce a lot more light, just looked a different colour. So im going down the HID route too.
