hum... i wish i had ordered mine tinted! no idea why i didnt.. price maybe... :( the "white" line is a big reason stopping me get it done

any decent tinter should do just as good a job as the factory,  :smiley:

just google your area and window tinting, then do a little research on the company you choose. try and get some reviews.  :smiley:

Must say, the factory tints really look the part, seen a new GT @ the stealers with rear tints and really sets the car off.

had tints done to my 1st GTi and agree with tagnut, had a horrid white line around the rear screen, took it back and complained. Apparently because of the shape of the rear screen, you cannot get a good fit with the tint. i think i have a pic of the car with the tints.....................


I had carbon tints put on the front which stops UV sunlight and are still legal.

If you really don't like the white boarder on the rear screen, and wanted to go the OEM route, then you could order a genuine rear tinted screen from your stealer for around £170, and then pay Autoglass or similar to swap it.  'Cause theres no doubt that the factory fit ones look soooo much better!  :cool:  :cool:
