Front Discs / Pads
« on: 26 August 2008, 16:12 »
I have to replace my Front Discs and pads asap as the discs are shot.

I have measured the discs and they are the larger (288mm ones)

I don't want to spend a fortune as i have lots of other things to do to the car but don't want to get rubbish that will warp the first time i brake hard either  :grin:

I've heard that Brembo Max from GSF are good but what pads to go with them?  Any other i should look at?

Thanks  :smiley:

eurocarparts do ate power discs which are good quality and lightly uprated... matched with ate pads you should have a decent set up thats not o.t.t.

After getting a price I won't be  getting them from a dealer, sometimes genuine parts prices are a surprise but i'm sure i can get cheaper / just as good elsewhere;

Discs £40.60 + vat each
Pads £52.27 + vat

£156.83 in total....

I have the same... I can stop very quick without needing to push the pedal that hard, or use abs... Which makes the passengers suprised when you brake just that bit harder! :laugh:
