the first link shows the car running the BBS rims which imo should have been fitted as standard on the mk5...

be interesting if the link in the second one looks anything like the final version...I just don't know why they don't just lift the tape off and show the damn cars...and if i had to sit in bushes i'd prefer it to be done with VBH from 5th Gear like when she went off doing the old capturing of new models.

"while the brakes, suspension and bodywork will be beefed-up versions of today's Golf GTI hardware"

what superb information

Hey!
When I drove a mk5 GTi I couldn't help thinking "Man, I wish they'd beef up the brakes, suspension and bodywork"

....Which is exactly why I did!

No R32, no R36?! What the hell is going on?!

My life is in ruin now, thanks Volkswagen again for building up our spirits and then shattering them with a swift, gentle 258lb/ft mallet.

However, VW will, in spirit, bring it back via an all-wheel-drive R variant called GTI-R. It will be powered by the 265hp 2.0 TFSI found in the Audi S3.

Not to bad, 4 wheel drive version, just a bit annoying that they are dropping the r32 due to eu immisions regulations!! how gay!

that will be mint, get a re-map and exhaust to see a nice 300bhp+ 4wd golf  might trade in my VXR when that arrives
