I took the mrs to see the new scirocco yesterday, part of her de-sensitization programme in preperation for the possibility of 2.0 R and noticed the stubby areial sitting on top looking nice. My question is directed more to our electrical geek StevP
I know most people who have changed to a stubby 1 struggle a bit with radio reception, if we put the scirocco 1 on would this solve the reception problem.  :huh: and leave us with a sexy looking areial.  :smug:

i saw one on sunday at blackpool, it was black 2.0tfsi and looked like a monster truck parked next to my gti, there was like 5 inches between the arch and the wheel  :shocked: :shocked: just looked ugly in real life, and the alloys look like theyve come off a merc. oh and the front vw badge just looks like its stuck on with pvc  :sick: :sick:

Geek!, I resemble that remark  :laugh: :nerd: :laugh: :nerd:

I doubt the roof aerial on the rocco is anything more than just the GPS/GSM antenna, I expect they would use the diversity type rear window mounted ones (like you got on the early MK5's without any roof antenna and are also used in combination with the shark-fin type on one's with factory fitted nav/phone prep).

I saw two at the weekend in Belfast and I agree they need lowered. The gap between the arch and wheel seems too much.
