I went up a steep hill in my 1.8L the other day and the power started to die off, i had to put it into 1st and rev it hard and still the power just died off to the point where i was doing about 2mph and had to stop!! I could hear the full throttle induction roar but there was no power! Felt a bit like the fuel had gone but i put it into neuteral gave it a rev and it was fine after that.
It had hit that darn flat spot again! Put it on VAG-COM and it came up with Air temp sensor again.. but its running fine now. Can some one let me know if the Air temp sensor is part of the SPI unit or can it be changed?
