We picked up the car today after travelling 8 hours train hopping....delay upon delays!

Anywho, finally got there and having only ever seen pics of the car was crapping myself as to what state it was going to be in, but at the same time as you can imagine excited.....

Finally we were face to face with the Car and it looks and runs beautifully, needs a little bit of TLC to get it up to scratch but looking forward to getting to work on it!

The car as said is a Golf GTI MK3, 1994, has high mileage with 153K on the clock but has a full service history (absolute mountain of paperwork!)
The car runs and sounds fine, having just done a good 250+ miles back home.

The biggest shock to me was when i looked under the bonnet and wondered where the engine was??? My other car is an EVO6 which has no room in the engine bay to put anything, and the engine is so small there is loads of room in the golf.... i looked on the bright side of this and am now thinking of what i can put in to fill in the extra space.... all in all i am already thinking about getting another because it was so fun to drive and now know why people love them so much!
Will try get some pics up when i work out how to!

Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome and good choice!

Guess its only an 8v though if loads of room under bonnet! LOL!

But dont worry about the mileage just run in by Golf standards!

Cheers Len,
It's a 16V actually which is why i was surprised at all the space! But we both definately love the car.
