Advice needed - 2nd hand GTI
« on: 21 August 2008, 15:15 »
All,

I had found a Red GTI 2nd hand but it has fallen through.

I have found another one and I think I have got a good deal here so can you all please let me know what you think

2006 (MD55 plate - which i believe means it was registered in Jan or Feb 06?)
3 Door black (didnt really want a black but am warming to the colour)
18"" Monza IIs
Full Leather
Arm rest
Xenons
40k miles and just serviced full VWSH, 1 owner from new.

Was on at 13k and have the seller, a private trade dealer, down to 12k.

What you all think?......thanks for the help.

Seems like a good deal, the market has definately fallen - i paid 17k for an 08 plate with only 2000 miles - monza 2s and arm rest included less than a month ago. go to www.mycarcheck.com and get an hpi check done on the registration, its only £3.95 and that wil tell u about the history of the car and when it was registered, previous owners etc.

Black 08 GTi - 18" Monza II's, Leather, Centre Arm Rest, Parking Sensors - Love It!

Definatley a good deal mate but as i'm in the trade and no how bad things are at the moment you might be able to knock the price down alittle bit more depends how much you want this car and also how many other cars this dealer has but i can gaurntee if he's desprate he will take 10k he will still be making on that but are you more bothered about getting the car cheap or getting the right car?
