Hello all,
I am a first time vw owner after picking up my own mark iv gti. have to say its the most comfortable solid car i have ever owned. its totally standard bar a revo re-map and is now 195 bhp and around 250 lbsft of torque. plans for her are to flush the bumpers and side mouldings lower it onto some nice wide 16"s( dont like big diameter wheels!) and then maybe add a front mount and full exhaust system, but not before i get a boost gauge fittedto keep an eye on things! :wink: anyways, look forward to chatting to you all soon,

i had a 98 type r teg it was running 194bhp and 136lbft...golf has circa 250lbft so quite the difference!! :laugh:

Welcome to the gang mate. Nice cars the Type R but cant beat the turbo rush and the VW build quality. And the huge tuning potential.  :cool:

Golf SOLD. Replaced with a Yamaha Raptor 660 quad and loving it. This will be replaced in August with a Raptor 700. Sold the quad now got a Vectra GSI 2.5 V6 and its the nuts.
