can i fit a 8v gti head to my 1.6 ez coded engine???

Will have to use your inlet manifold etc and use the gti cam, should give you a bit more hp ;).

so it will bolt on no problems etc etc as it looks different to the one on my motor  ???

think it might just be because the rocker cover is different?? dont want the injection part just the head as i want a gti cam and exhaust manifold on mine, excuss my stupidness but are the injectors not in the head??

Ahh, injectors in the head. I thought the later heads had injectors in the manifold for better cooling (or is that on Audi heads?).
Remove the injector inserts and screw in blanking plugs, you can get them from your local hydraulics suppler.

surely this mod would lower engine compression though? or would the benefits outweigh the gains. i suppose you could get the head skimmed if need be.
