Dodgy Garage

Ok here goes, be easy on me coz my knowledge isn't that great....

I recently got a new clutch done on the mk2.... Said to them to put in in and check over the gearbox. So they did.

Jus had a new engine put in and been told that a seal has gone on the gear box. Won't this mean there is a danger my clutch will go unless I fix it and shudn't the orig garage have had a look or is this something that could happen after changing my clutch  ???

Excuse my ignorence  :)

Kent VW, local garage  >:(

But I asked them to check gearbox and I was told there was nothing wrong.

Will make an annon call to see if my parts are covered by warranty if they get ar sey then make sure my clutch goes and then say whilst ur there check the fooking gear box. Will watch them do it aswell!!

Bah !!! ?250

Get it checked Golfgal as oil from the engine can contaminate the clutch and it'll slip like nobodies business.

Not an expensive part - but loadsa labour getting the box out   :(

Well seein as I just put a cobra cat 1 alarm in for ?360, Clutch for ?250, New wheels ?150 wheel alignment ?110 and all in the last two weeks!!

its gonna be another 8v. There is a sweet one with 1 owner and fsh so its an easy straight swap for ?450. The reason I'm doing it is because two of the pistons have gone (on the way home from gettin the alarm) Poor car was towed to garage by the mk1 mwahahah
