Emailed the guy to say its defo NOT a 150 pd engine got this back:

Hi, this car is a genuine 150 BHP model as it clearly stated this on the log book. I think the engine cover has been changed to a 130 probely cause the orignal one was stolen but I can assure you its a 150 BHP.

no the first thing rhyso would do is ask how many miles they can do on a tank

PMSL

you're just jealous thats all

Round trip to Watford and back of 340 miles, average speed (according to comp) 68mph, averaged 55.5mpg and i've still got half a tank left :smug: with a range to do a total of 710 miles!!

mmmm your so sad i cant a whole 300 miles outer my tank ha ha :embarassed:

Just got this back from him:-

"Hi, no the 150 bhp wasnt stolen and its still you ariginal engine. I think the engine cover has been changed to a 130 bhp cover and the 150 bhp engine cover has the letters TDI all in red so im not sure. But your free to do any checks you wish to it but I can assure you the engine has never been messed around with. Thanks"

&...........................  Just responed with this:-

"Strange one then, as all 150 engines have a frount mounted intercooler.  Have you got the engine code, at all?  (It has 3 letters & can be found in the handbook, on a sticker in the spare wheel well, or engraved on the engine itself (under the plastic cover).

ps  As you know, all 25th Anniversary Golfs were numbered as they were a limited run.  Can you tell me which no. this one is, please.

Thank you."
