Tuning GTI Edition 30 DSG.
« on: 19 August 2008, 15:19 »
Hello!

I´m new here at this forum and i´m from Sweden so my english isn´t perfect but here goes nothing.

I have a Golf GTI 30 Edition (2008) with DSG transmission, and it´s tuned with
Hohenester software, Oettinger intercooler, 3" Milltek downpipe and 2,75" cat-back system,
it "kicks out" 320hp and 360Nm (265lbs/ft).. (torq reduced beacause of the DSG).

My question is if there are anyone of you that has upgraded you DSG gearbox (hardware upgrade),
I have seen that HGP tuning in Germany has a kit suited for the DSG gearbox, but it would be interesting
to hear from someone that has upgraded the car with this or a similar one.

I´m going to upgrade my DSG-box this autumn in Germany, and if someone has
any experience from this, please let me know.

Best Regards

But he has been looking at upgrading the internals of his DSG box and there are a few options that are mentioned in the post.

....About to replace the open diff component to a custom Quaife ATB - But I know it's not what you mean by your question.

I think we are all interested in what the German company have to offer whether we buy or not.

Hi and welcome GTI30EDITION

I have been looking into a few different options for uprating the DSG hardware - specifically the clutchpack and the diff. There are two products which I'm hoping will help me with the slip that the car is suffering from at the moment. The HGP/HPA clutchpack and the VW racing upgrade for the clutch plates. Getting hold of the HGP/HPA one is a task in itself as the modification availability seems to have vanished at the moment. Both JBS Autodesigns and myself have tried contacting them on several occasions, but with no response.

VW racing parts aren't generally available to the public, but I'm hoping that this line of investigation may prove to be the best one. If uprating the clutch happens then I will also get the Quaife ATB diff fitted at the same time.

Hope this helps

Hello Hurdy!

I have also been trying to contact HGP for info regarding the DSG upgrade, but with no luck.

I hope that Raeder Motorsport will give me a useful reply ( I have contacted them today) and
hopefully buy an upgrade from them soon.

My plans are to upgrade my turbo and fuelsystem, plus a Quife diff, when the DSG upgrade is fitted,
so I hope for a positive answer from them. :)

Let´s stay in touch.

Best Regards
