How many gears?

Have you looked on boot sticker for the kW figure. If it's over 110kW you've got 180BHP.

No its not an inport, 110kw on the sticker in the boot and 5 gears. What part is the year?? Just letters and numbers to me

I'm the second owner but its got receipt for the original purchase from VW. Did'nt think all the 53 plate GTI's were 180's though.

i have a 03 Bora with the 1.8t 180bhp lump (only done 50k miles), has leather and all the toys! yours for 4.7k

That's why you have to go by the build date.  Your car was possibly a cancelled order or something then, & didn't get sold/registered until Sept 03>.
