Single headlamp conversion

anyone done it? Seen the kits for around ?50 and seems to look the bollocks but is it hard? and is the inner lamp removed or covered by the grille?

but i HAVE decided to buy a cab and so the threads are still relevant...

Just simply change the grilles over from twin to a single lamp. The inner lamps are on the grille, unless there was a major change made from a standard Mk1??

Will u be at inters this wknd? U can see it done on my mk1. She looks mean at night!! Looking for some clear lights this wknd instead of yellow ones (think my car smokes he he!!)

I'm still undecided on twin lamps vs single on a Mk1. May need a poll???
I've just switched mine back to twins n standard grille from single + mk2 style grille mmmmmm not sure

I like the single with the chrome badge in the middle - looks quite nice. May change it to that but not till everything else has been done. I want mine to look a bit beefier

I think if i can get hold of those clear cross hair lamp thingys for both the inner and outer, that would look cool. Original, yet updated. Yep, thats what I'll buy this weekend

I think the single lamp looks more classic, where as the twin looks a little more aggressive. It depends on what you want the style of your car to look like.
I have just ordered some crystal clear angel eyes to replace my standard crystal clear outer, and already have inner crystal fitted.
I don't own this anymore - I just can't be arsed to change the picture

Do those crystals offer better brightness ?? or is a loom upgrade required for that as well??
