Been a few times. Strict on noise and driving rules. (fair enough)

Circuit is quick but the lack of camber etc bugs me now (it's a converted Aerodrome not a real circuit) plus there is one corner that I just can't get on with.

Snetterton or Brands ftw.

The car had FQ 320 on it so I thought I was doing well to keep up. When we got back I went to say hello but he'd walked off. His passenger was laughing and called me over only to say that on top of the £15k+ he'd payed for the car, he had spent a further £12k on brakes/suspension/engine/cage upgrades to get it to 440bhp.....and he couldn't shift a 26yr old Mk1 off his tail

That was a good day

It's not how fast your car is, but how fast you drive.

Circuit driving is all about technique and experience. (I'm no expert!)

well that was fun.....................

got to do 4 laps before my engine decided to throw up a load of oil, covering the tyres and making me spin. i suspect the crank pulley seal is to blame but ill have a proper look tomorrow.

luckily it happened close to the pits so there was only a short trail of oil :embarassed:

problem sorted, the oil cooler line lost its zip tie holding it away from the alternator, and got shredded!

braided hoses ordered this time

still, i managed to get 2/3's of my money back selling my ticket to one of the reserves :nerd:

Sounds like you need to order bigger zipties, rather than posh hose - the fan'll go through braided pretty much as quickly as other hoses.

You could even re-route the hoses away from the fan.  :nerd:
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.
