Down the slippery slope - no way back! Thanks!
« on: 15 August 2008, 19:17 »
Had my 12mm H&R rear spacers fitted today so just thought I'd share a couple of pics with you all as a way of thanks!
Defo think it helps the rear look squatter.
Since joining this forum I've had the Ed30 lowered 25mm (thanks to JoesGTI's springs), K&N panel filter (thanks to GAZBUTMK5), REVO'd (thanks to various!), Sharan stubby aeriel (thanks to MerlinMan), Black VW badge (DIY), GTI seat inserts (thanks to Gulf) open fog surrounds (thanks to MartinW and Robin), Philips H7 bulbs (thanks to Neg) and now the rear spacers (recommended by JonathanTurner).
All I need now is a Kenwood DNX 7200 (thanks Hurdy!) with all the trimmings (missed out on 4 on ebay in 3 days!), stiffer ARBs and better brakes. Also thinking of getting the outer rim polished on the pescaras.

Thanks to all forum members helping me spend my time & money!

I've resisted for now as the standard exhaust sounds better after the remap. Lets see how long that lasts!

Yeah about that - I paid £80 inc fitting and longer bolts.

Yes they are hub-centric spacers so they have the 'lip' for the wheel to sit on. You just need the longer bolts to secure the wheels. Strange how 12mm can make such a difference to the appearance!
Go for it! One of my most satisfying mods...

yes, the H&R spacers are hubcentric, they have the flange in the centre just like your original hubs
