Bargain of the century
« on: 04 May 2004, 16:18 »
Ended up buying a 1.5gl on the dreaded Ebay a couple of weeks back for a grand total of ?104. MOT'd for 11 months, any car for ?100 is a bargain, so without hesitation I bid, then won it. Went to have a look yesterday and apart from a flat battery an a little rust on the n/s rear arch everything is great. Needs a good polish, but interior won't even need a hoover. Needs a couple of mud flaps replacing and a new grill (so if anyone has any NOS please get in touch). Otherwise its ready to hit the road as a very stock 5 door. Might even consider keeping it forever :)

Its the area around the sunroof inside. If thats rusted like mine its v exp to fix. I'm doing mine coz she's rare and was very cheap - just the right price at the time. Soon I should have a good bit to spend on her - can't wait to start getting her all done up nicely!!  :D
