Not a big update but fitted new LED rear umber plate bulbs, old on the left new on the right. Should be crystal white and not blue, shall get another pic in the dark.

So after selling my Golf 4 TDI 110 I wanted a bit more power.

So I went and bought a MK4 GTi with a 1.8 Turbo engine.

It's black with 3 doors and looked like this when I bought it:

Still hasn't changed :lipsrsealed:

It's broken. Waterpump gone. So need to get it in for cambelt and pump to be done.

:(

On the flip side, part should be here soon for arm rest to go in.
Won some door seals on eBay for £7.99 delivered as my drivers side is fooked!

Fixed waterpump and put a new cambelt on. Took it out for a spin and the thing overheated.

Off to TPS this morning to get another stat to put in, which i'm REALLY hoping is the problem.

Fitted new stat and so far all is good.

The door seals arrived today so that should keep me busy. Eyeing up a few other things too.

Little Update.

My old Forge 007 was a bit ugly so decided to replace it with the better looking kind :)

Old one :

Old and new together:

New one fitted:

Got a leak inside the car so I've ordered the bonnet release cable grommit, so I'll fit that on Tuesday and then if it cures it strip the interior out for a good clean.

Fitted bonnet release grommit. Was a pain but got there in the end.

Took the carpet out for a good clean and dry as well.

Whilst that lot was out I fitted my new arm rest:

New bits waiting to be fitted:

Possibly more updates this week.

Wanted to fit my 312mm front brakes and new rear discs and pads today. But the 312mm carriers haven't turned up so decided to just sort the rears for now. It seems the carriers are lost in transit somewhere...

What a pig of a job, the new pads didn't come with these little metal clips that on one side kept falling off and made it near IMPOSSIBLE to fit the pads in. Took about 5 hours to do the whole job with the other side taking about 30 minutes. It was chucking it down all day and very wet.

Meanwhile I tried to find my leak, the bonnet release grommit was fine so reinstalled it and used a lot of silicone so around it so I can rule that out.

Fitted my new wipers while I was at it, a great improvement. So quiet and efficient. Happy days!

Old discs  :lipsrsealed:

New wipers:

And I'm left with a car that won't rev below 1300 RPM.... :undecided:
