Induction Kit or Uprated Panel Filter?

Alright guys nd gals, looking for a bit of advise. I've got a standard mk4 1.8 turbo and looking to speed it up a bit, im aiming at new induction kit, exhaust then a re-map. First off im going to get the unduction sorted, am i best of buying an induction kit? if so.. which one? or am i best uprating the panel filter and keeping the induction standard.

Any feedback as to what people have or have had would be great, and what improvements they felt as well.

If an induction kit is the best option which one do you feel would be the best?

i got a BMC CDA for mine and it sounds the nuts and makes it go better aswell

I have a Carbonio cold air feed and a forge dump valve that I bought off a mate but due to a company car i never ended up getin a golf so i dont need them any more. you make me an offer if you want.

sounds great, was actually looking for a dump valve as well. Are they both deffo for a 1.8 turbo (petrol) as most company car golfs are diesel?

uprate the panel filter mate IMO, the cold air intakes have killed 2 golfs on here through water being sucked into the engine

ive upgraded my panel filter, smoothed the air box just need to fit my dsg intake, still havent done it!!! stupid weather being crap!

lol same as! Was hoping you could give me some tips on the dsg intake!!  :grin: :grin:

lol Rich as soon as i do it ill let you know mate! i think the hardest part is removing that bar steward tray at the front, Rhyso said you need ot remove the batt to get clearance, my advise at this stage is get some spare plastic plug things or some small nuts and bolts as you need to pop the ones out holding the tray in which is well very fustrating esp if you dont want to damage them, on my third attempt im ripping the F***ers out and using nuts and bolts  :evil:
