scammers??
« on: 11 August 2008, 22:57 »
just been lookin through the for sale section and noticed there seems a bit if an increase in people generally trying to rip of honest forum users so is it worth introducing a minimum post count before you can advertise parts? might make them think its not worth it?

sorry if this is a repost if so please delete

cheers stu

I think its abit like Egay guys...we all have to be wary and ensure we let others know of any "dodgy dealings" but there will always be scammers.. if anyone knows...just let admin know and they will do the rest..think Toph enjoys toying with them anyway so gives him some stuff to do for a change

My 2 pennies worth. I'm only new here but am a member of superbike forum and you see it all the time, what gets me is most of them dont even have the manners to say hello in the newbie section first. Bloody cheek. I reckon you should just delete them....Poor old 18 year old johnnie who has been saving his paper round money might actually part with £300 notes for a set of spanking wheels.......then its bye bye to the cash. Annoying I know and a tough one.

Same :)

Speaking of buying and stuff, Mikester, when I get round to it, you think you'll still be alright spraying me some GTI lights?

Really, it could be down to the mods to "vet" the first post of a classified topic. I mean, it's not as if they do much else is it
