Well I've just spoken to my dad on the phone. He's agreed to lend me £600 so I can get the mirror sorted and the faulty sensor on the rear door (which stopped the alarm going off when they smashed the mirror).
I must warn you I'm about as decisive as a 5 yr old in a sweet shop!!

Rich, you paid less than £200 for the sensor? Was that including fitting by VW? I thought you said £300?
