....

PLEASE READ:

....Okay, guys 'n gal - Dave is the (very busy) MD of the TTshop and TTSroadsport and Justin is Sales and, being a VDub owner/enthusiast himself, is the best guy to contact re VW goodies such as carbonfibre.

I've visited them many times and can tell you that they are primarily a very busy workshop rather than solely an online retailer. Anything carbonfibre is by nature not mass produced and usually has to be shipped in from overseas - Hence inevitable delays. The VW CF badges aren't a live product yet but the first batch should be arriving soon. The best thing to do is to phone Justin 01234 855 555 and he'll at least capture your purchase desires and stay in contact with you re progress.

Apologies on behalf of Dave and his team to anyone who only managed to speak to a passing workshop techie who didn't respond as expected. They are working to improve such communication problems.

I wish to add that I have no vested or commercial interests there - It's just my sharing and networking to everyone's mutual benefit.

Typically I was on hold to the TT Shop when I saw the notification of your post RR.

I have spoken to Dave and he explained everything as per your post.

He also explained some of the ideas of how the supply of the C/F VW badges may work based on possible need to exchange the existing chrome VW ones.

I have registered my interest and will be going over to see them once they are in stock.

From what the TTshop said to me these are effectively made by a small 'cottage industry' type company in the USA, so I doubt volume discounts would be possible and initial supplies will be limited.

is there then not a good point us having a list, to hand to them for them to know how many ppl want them, to then get them in?

....Exactly. OSIR are similar - A clever HK designer called Riso >< osiR (get it?) but the smaller producers seem to make better quality (Seibon doesn't have the greatest reputation!). It's also an expensive material and very labour intensive and so not the sort of product that any reseller can afford to have big stocks of.

....Okay - How about we start a list here and I'll see what can be arranged with TTshop. Copy the list and repost with your name (forum name is fine at this stage) and your needs, subject to prices we don't know yet.

[If that was a blonde moment Caz, then long live blondes!!.....Pics needed! ]
