when she sees u under the bonnet just say your changing the battery!!!!! :grin: :grin:

unfortunatley as i do a lot of work on cars outside the house she wouldnt fall for it, plus she would start thinking i'm a useles mechanic if it took me a day to change a battery  :smiley:

not really throwing money at it, i would just have to buy a head and gasket and belt set and fit it myself.

what about the ECU and all the wiring. there is probably is a reason why it's not really caught on.

wouldnt have thought i needed it as it's only a camshaft sensor on the wiring front that may be different

whatr about the information being sent through the loom?

a 2.0l 8v ECU surly can't be much cop on a 16v head...

thats what i mean it's only the cam sensor and with a DOHC cam sensor pick up on one cam so all it will do the same the ecu ony acts on info received so in theory it will react to whatever info the sensors are relaying to it, although may cause problem if it's outside expected parameters, im looking into it at the moment to see if it's viable, you could be right as not many people have carried it out but in essence more power and efficiancy can be had by adding more valves per cylinder
