Been a long time
« on: 09 August 2008, 10:51 »
As an ex Club GTi member I have been away from the dub scene for some time and as I am in the process of looking for a MKIV Golf I thought I would get upto speed and join this excellent forum.I hope you dont mind if I bore you with some details about myself as I guess you are supposed to introduce yourself.I started my passion for VW with my first car which was a 1988 MK2 8V Golf GTI which I absolutely adored almost too much.I blew £10k on that car with mods like full black leather interior full windows out respray,Power steering and single wiper mod by Awesome. Then came different sets of alloys and suspension.I then sold that (to this day wish I had not) to buy a Black 2WD Golf G60 which was fantastic. It was sold as I got a company car but I bought a runaround MK1 Golf Driver which was a superb little car.Next for whatever reason came a Polo MK2 breadvan, then a MK3 Polo GT and after that a MK3 facelift Polo 1.6 GLX which got a bit of Awesome treatment in the form of suspension and 17" alloys. As I said I am looking for another Golf and have decided to buy a MK4 GT TDi as I love the effortless grunt of diesel. We have just purchased a MK6 Polo 1.9 TDi Sport for my wife to runaround in and we are both really impressed with the performance and handling of this little car.So briefly thats my VW history, thanks for reading and I look forward to chatting wih you.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.
