I have been reading the guides on mk4 turbos, and i want to know a few things that i havnt seen covered. first is...

The difference between the 150bhp and 180bhp? Are the engines the same or not? Im thinkin it would be easier to get a 150bhp mapped up to 180bhp + Or do they have different engines?

Also as the years went on, what engine changes happened? So what year should i be going for?

I want a mk4 1.8turbo fairly soon, as im bored to hell of the mk3. Want me a nice black 3 door turbo, preferably already with an r32 body kit on it.

Any help would be awesome.

the 150 and 180 r the same just the software in the ecu is different.

if u remapped the 150 u wud b lookin at around 190 to 196.

regaurding the engines not a 100% but 2000 below agu and arz the bottom end is alot stronger then the 2001 and up

So in all honesty its better to just go for the 150bhp model, and get a remap?

Awesome, i will see you boys in here soon! Once i find one that i like. Like i said, i want an r32 body kit, and ideally dont want to fit it myself, but i also dont want one thats been ragged...

I have a black 3 door Golf turbo. not for sale though! AUM aswell!

Anyway AUM code (2000 onwwards map to about 210BHP) although AGU map to 190BHP they have the stronger internals. Read the what power should I expect in the maintenance section.

I would buy a standard one and do it yourself as you don't know if it's be done properly or if it's genuine.

That pistonheads one is sweet. Channge the wheels and front lights job done
