oil pressure gauge
« on: 01 May 2004, 01:03 »
managed to aquire a set of gauges from a mk1 in the scrappy today. got a water temp, clock and oil pressure. question is can i use the oil pressure gauge? i know there's a sender for oil pressure on start up for 1300's with a max of 0.2 bar. but is there a sender for higher pressures ie when driving and if not any body got any ideas on how i could wire up this gauge if at all possible?

you need a sender. if the loction is the same as my 8v then it's on the front of the block at the rear of the oil cooler. screw it into the oil cooler and hook up the gauge and the old wire else your clocks will bug you saying there's low pressure cos the wire isn't connected.
