Repair to leather seats??
« on: 06 August 2008, 17:24 »

After a couple of years motoring and loving every minute of it, I only noticed the other day that the side bolsters on my leather seats are wearing away, so much so that is is starting to look bad.  I don't want to leave it as it will only get worse.  I use leather cream to try and keep it supple, but...

The questions is, has anyone had this issue and had the seat repaired?.
I was thinking of trying the dealer, but no doubt they will come back with 'normal wear and tear'.  I have looked at repair kits on fleabay but not too sure on how it would look as they may be a slight colour mis-match.
If anyone knows the best way to get it sorted, can you please let me know.

Cheers

This stuff is pretty good:

Looks like you will need to use the scuffmaster on your seat...You give them the make of car and the leather code, so the colour  match should be ok. But maybe that scratch is a little too deep? My knowledge on this subject isn't great, but I've known people who have used the liquid leather and it has produced good results.

Ask 182blue...he may know something else too.

Hmm, as the leather has gone the only thing you can do is replace the cover, or have a smart repair done to it
