Cheers guys, I'm well happy with these as they're pretty much straight of the camera with only a slight tweek in Photoshop.

How about this bad boy?

Review/info here:  http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canona570is/

For sale here: http://www.warehouseexpress.com/product/default.aspx?sku=1018847

Would be ideal for you left on full Auto but if you fancy it it allows you to go beyond that and start to fiddle with Apature Priority mode, Shutter priority mode or even fully manual. THese are features that my SLR has and the ones I use. So you could use all that and find you canget really creative or you can leave it in auto and find you have a brilliant point and shoot.

Hope that helps!

Nick

Ah OK so £140 is well within budget then!

At that sort of budget you can go pretty mad and look at "Bridge" cameras but I don''t really think that's what you're after.

Whatever you do don't get mugged into thinking it's all about most mega pixels, it's a marketing lie. Infact too many picels on a small senser results in aweful images in low light due to digital noise. Anythng over 8 is a waste unless you plan to print stuff on A2 or are cropping a lot of excess shot out.
