Mk 1 cabriolet rear speaker covers wanted!?

Hi, i'm havin trouble tracing replacement speaker covers for the rear quarters of a mk1 cabriolet. its a karmann edition model that has 6x4 speakers mounted in the rear side quarters. ne1 got any going and can post/deliver to me..or that i can collect if ur based newhere in the midlands??As i am based in Coventry during the week and Wolverhampton on weekends but can sorta go newhere else within the midlands. failing that, do u no where i can trace any from??

mk2's have them under the parcel shelf too...scrapyards and a big bag!

you can buy 6x4's new aswell. JBL do some, sony do and so do alpine i think...

sorry no...i'v alredy put new speakers in..jbl 6x4's. its the vw stock covers i'm after...they were originally there but got damaged so i'm seeking replacements!

that sit behind the doorcard?
do the speakers not come with some?

check the for sale section, look for those breaking a mk1 cabriolet :)

No, the Jbl's dont come  with there own. The original VW ones would cover the speakers as they are. Initially the speaker would go in from the outside and the original VW cover wud go over it...and the arms on the speaker grilles inner section would hold the speaker in place while the arms go thru into the door card and bolted from behind to hold the lot in. if that makes sense!?

this is wot it looks like!? wel, this is the broken one that i have which is one of the 2 broken ones i need to replace...can anyone else help???

the later door cards with these speaker covers have a big hole in, so you need these covers.  unfortunatly they are discontinued at VW, so you'll have to scour ebay till you find some!  Either that or as said use the ones that came with the speakers.

ahhhh.... im glad mine just have holes in the door card to accomodate for speaker covers.
