Hi all, just thought I'd drop in and introduce myself, I've just picked up a nice MKIII GTi for a great price:



I am based up north, near Manchester and Liverpool but travelled down to Derby to pick her up last night.  Very happy with my purchase, car is the cleanest I've seen of these so far (pretty sure there are cleaner on here though) and the drive home was uneventful and very smooth.

Car is completely standard with FSH, Tax and MOT.  Going to have a scout around now and see what I want to change first.  :grin:

That looks factory fresh! What spec is it? 8v or 16V

It's the 8v...100% standard, would have liked a 16v but the price on this couldn't be missed.  Car is almost mint, interior is superb and apart from a couple of small things like the glovebox latch etc it's been really looked after.  Was owned by a 50 year old painter/decorator before me who only used it at weekends so it's been cared for.  Really impressed with it so far, not quite as quick as my old car (Nissan 200SX) but I've got a family now so need something cheaper to run and with more space.  :grin:
