I had the same dilemma over my pristine car getting resprayed. However, now that the job is done, I'm glad I went with it. Warranty job helped but £250 seems a good price for the work involved here. Once done, you'll never know :wink:

It is a real pain but but £250 is actually a pretty good price for respraying the bonnet and blending into the wings, a paintless dent removal guy would probably charge in the region of £80 - £100 just to remove the dent!

How old is the car, if its fairly new then the red should match pretty dam well, its only on older red cars that its a pain to match as the UV rays tend to fade the reds and make them go abit orange, having said that I know a guy who has just had the bonnet on his 1992 red mitsubishi gto painted and you cant even tell, the match is perfect!

A good body shop is the key though! I agree though deffinatley takes pictures before hand though to show the dink. Im gutted for you though its horrible when something that seems so simple turns out to cost a few £££'s

What do we pay our road tax for, dam councils should go pick up all the stones of the road so this doesnt happen  :grin:

Does it save a lot of weight? it must cost a serious amount of dosh,...perhaps i will just keep off the Guiness for a month and make the weight saving myself!  :grin:
