Imports? I always get suspicious when they are so cheap and why would a private seller be selling two? hmmm...perhaps if its too good to be true then perhaps it is.

maybe they have both been in a crash and been fixed but the damage has not been recorded hence cheap price to shift them quick.

Having owned 2 mk5 R32,s i would recomend one at least once to anyone. They are an awesome bit of kit the exhaust noise is unreal!!
Ive never turned so many heads with that noise, and i currently have an RS4 B7!!!

Seriously though if you only use your car for pleasure and not commuting get one while their cheap, They are affordable to run not as bad as people think, i could average 24-26 mpg (steady away ). AGAINEST 15-20 MAX IN THE RS4!!

I actually would now go and get myself one of those beauties, but I just think it would be nigh on impossible to move my car on at the moment, nothing has been selling on Pistonheads at all and I want to buy and sell privately.  I can't afford to take too big a drop on my 05 (55) as I just got it in March!  Love my GTI but the lure of an R32 is proving very tempting just now, especially at those daft prices.

Wonder if they ever come up at local car auctions...that said, I would still have to shift mine on first  :undecided:

Hence the reason for my pathetic attempts at straw clutching in earlier posts...

....Quite a lot of Mk4 R32 owners have swopped to the Mk5 GTI/Ed30.

Me being one of them.  I do miss the R32...it broke my heart to sell it, but it was time to move on.  I initially went for a Mk 5 R32, specced it up and was ready to order one but thought I'd take a test drive of an Edition 30 just to see what it was like and the Edition 30 won because of the tuning potential and cost to tax.  I love my Edition 30, but part of me wishes I'd gone for the R32

Running costs are pretty similar if I'm honest - average mpg in the Edition 30 isn't much better than it was in the R32.  Performance-wise the Edition 30 is more nimble, but the R32 was quicker all round.  But don't forget it was modified (Milltek with sports cats, Revo, Schrick cams, K & N typhoon) - against a standard R32 the Edition 30 would be pretty similar I reckon.

No Golf Clubs at all  , Id still go into a dealer about a trade.
They probaby see your GTI as a far better prospect to sell rather than the R32.
Prices are tumbling , they really are getting hammered in price.
