Time for an upgrade in the sales then.
Probably want to go up to a 600D or 7D

you mean Nikon 

Have you tried over exposing by about 1/3 and then pulling it back in RAW to reduce the noise?

Haven't tried that, but I will do. It's frustrating taking grainy photos
