helped by the fact that there was nothing in the immediate background but scrub i suppose... although another thistle is blown way out of focus so I can't really answer that

the lens is a smc PENTAX-DA 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 AL II - so for all you Pentax bashers it isn't too bad after all!!  :tongue:

I messed around with the White Balance yesterday in a Very orange carpark. i think the pics came out quite good. no editing done  :smiley:
