At last, back on line

I was looking into this as an option and still thinking about it, but I reckon I'd plump for the LSD first as Topher has mentioned, "Power is nothing without control".

I guess the proper way to go is a GT30 and strengthened rods and look into uprated DSG clutch packs.

I just get a bit too eager for my own good sometimes :embarassed:

....You're just following the call (or the voices inside your head!) : -

I have the same problem sometimes! LED DRL's about to happen! Still undecided about Quaife diff - Great product but do I really need it?

You only need an LSD if you go 1/4 miling or on track days. On the road I doubt that most would see any benefit.

....Which is why I don't really need it. There are 'benefits' on every corner - Be it road or track the ATB differential doesn't differentiate.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Don't do it mate..   I know NOS  is affective, but I just think it's a cheap, nasty, dangerous (for car) way of modding a car. If mine had NOS, I would be a bag of nerves all the time waiting for it to go bang!!!
It's going to be quick enough as it is I reckon, but if you want to go another step up, then go the bigger turbo route etc..
Just my opinion though..

Hurdy. Does nos not make you a bit chavy?

I think you should give it a miss.

Who said I wasn't chavy

NOS generally belongs to the jap modders and drag enthusiasts, most chavs couldn't afford to inhale it let alone fit it in one of their cars

I think NOS is a great idea and executed properly is not going to make your engine go bang.
(maybe your DSG might tho )

However the last thing a modded ED30 needs is more low end torque

If you go bigger turbo route then maybe to counter lag its a viable route at smallish hp levels.
However I would really fear for the box at the levels of low rpm torque that would have. (instant wheelspin anyone?)

I'm thinking R32 + HPA kit + progressive nitrous kit 50hp

Hurdy your mad
