noise.....
« on: 24 May 2008, 12:32 »
oky doke had my clutch fitted yesterday - that works a treat except that i know have a metal on metal noise when turning right AND only turning right

also only makes this noise when going foward not backward.....

suggestions??

i think its a driveshaft rubbing against something  :undecided: or it even possibly sounds like the brake caliper is catching the wheel though i've never had any problems before.

took it to local garage who suggested it was the exhaust  :lipsrsealed: twits!

I had this noise after I got my clutch fitted,  the noise is...........

Your brake disc n pad, I'm guessing they have been on the car over 6months & bed in now.  So when you remove them & refit them they won't sit exactly in the same place & you get that rubbing noise turning right.

The noise went after 4 days of driving (the pads bed in again)

Jay

ps. Volks speed cluch WOW, my MPG has gone up alot & it revs great
