Can anybody help?
The appearance of my beautiful car is being serious let down and I need some help to fix it!!
The plastic covering on the side trim on both sides of my car has cracked and snapped off showing a rusty metal strip on both sides. I have been trying to get replacement parts but am having difficulty in tracking them down. Firstly because I don't actually know what the part is called - is it a trim or a skirt or something entirely different?!?!?!? It is the black plastic part that runs underneath the door between the wheel arches
I have contacted my local VW dealer and they have said I need to take it to a bodyshop place as the parts are welded to the vehicle. I really don't think this is the case as other people have just said it is the plastic cover that needs replacing and this just clips on. Some have said each side comes in two parts and others tell me something entirely different!!!
I have tried to attached a picture so you can see what I am talking about in case I have completely confused you all but it won't work!
Can anybody give me an idea as to where I can get the parts and also what they are called and if possible let me have a part number?
