But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

dis the idle ok? if the car goes to stall at junctions etc it is probably an air leak.

I don't think a semi will give the same results

popping is just unburnt fuel in the exhaust system. When this fuel comes to contact with a hot spot on the exhaust, ie manifold. it explosed causing the pop. It can damage the system (creat a hole somewere) if its standard exhaust, as its weak. If you have a full stainless steel exhaust system then it will resist the hot fuel and be fine. popping is cool, we all agree, but because the car is being overfuelled then you will get less MPG. Thats the only drawback really.

Yep, mine had a popping frenzy a while back and it was because my ignition timing was bolloxed up.

On Digifant cars, check the blue temp sender. Wait for the car to be at temp, then disconnect it. If the engine note changes it's ok. if not it's bust, get a new one.

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.

i forgot to say.

If the ignition timing is out by a tooth or more, then it will backfire. Get the timing checked and get the fuel mixture set too.
