Het Manu.

Take a look under the MK5 maintanence and info section. I posted links there from VWVortex which not only include full schematic diagrams of the cars sound system but also the specs to all the components which should have size etc included if I remember correctly.

Also take a look under interior for a DIY on how to remove the door cards etc to access the speakers. And finally.

What is replacing them?

I wil not be doing any work to the car as im not much of a DIY guy....but il have a peak anyways and thanks for the reply! Hopefully a descent set up of JL Audio or Kicker...depending on my funds....Not gonna have anything too heavy so im not considering a sub, it slows the car down....but lets see what happens

You kidding me right?

Manu. You drive a V6 monster. Not even a Jetski on the back will slow that car down.... Unless its stuck in the sand at the beach. (Yes I have experiance of this)

Why not get yourself one of those sound vibration things? Its small and creates digital bass that can only be heard in the car. It does not shake so you wont have any rattles and basically its a weird machine. Not many people have it.

I saw it on Vortex ages ago. Maybe put a post up there about it?

Yeah... We tried to lauch my dads Jetski with a MK3 Vr6. It worked the first few times. And then...

A wave came and the car got stuck  :lipsrsealed:

Hence why we now have the Pajero

I beleive Hurdy has a DNX 7200 as he influenced me to get one! Its a nice bit of kit but iv got the RNS 510 in the R32 and dont intend on taking it out....had the DNX 7200 in the GTI with the iPod connected to it and it never let me down...nav function on it was also good. and Hurdy, would need to look at your links when i get home as the PC iv been given at the shop is well...sh!t

Yes Manu is correct I have the DNX 7200 head unit which has been very good.

DVD
SDcard input
HD based sat nav
IPOD link
Bluetooth
Park reverse camera - really cool function this and miles better than a bleep, bleep, bleep sensor system.
