280mm brakes
« on: 19 May 2008, 19:00 »
Got a Gti 16V with 280mm brakes on her and I need to change the pads.

Just wondering if anyone could advise what size of pads do I need to go for, for example will a brake pads for a Corrado 1.8 16V fit my brakes?

Thanks

ive just had this problem my 280s are from a rado G60. turns out there are 2 size of 280mm brake pads. they are listed for:

mk2 ibiza 16v
mk3 golf 16v and vr6 ( i think )
corrado 16v and G60
mk2 Golf g60 LHD
erm and a load of others.

unless you know what yours are off then i dont know mate. what im doing is getting both sets listed and ill simply return the unused ones. but my motor factors are sound like that.

or if you can't leave the car at home then take one out and draw around it on a piece of paper!

Thanks guys.

The only thing is that I'm planning to order the pads of the net, so I can't exactly bring it to the dealer as a comparison. =S
