need new tyres - recommend something sporty please

going to need a set of rears soon - currently running Michelin Primacy HPs but wanting to get something a little more sporty

been looking at mytyres and blackcirlces etc but is it just me or are there very few sporty choices for 16' inch wheels? 

had looked at Goodyear Eagles but i can't find the new assymetrics (sp) 

what can you lot find and recommend?

Im running Toyo Proxies T1S which are excellent - thay are quite soft compound tho  - prob wont get as many miles as your michys

I'd seriously consider the normal F1 GSD-3's.  The RE720's are good, but the F1's edge it in the wet, IMO.  For the £Â£Ã‚£, I really don't think there's a better tyre.  I didn't really rate the Toyo's, TBH + they wear quite quickly, too.  I haven't seen the Asymetrics in anything under a 17", either.   (I've just took delivery of 2 of them for my old man's Saab, but i don't think he'll be pushing them to the limits, LOL!!

Ooh, if you want something REALLY sporty then try some Toyo R888's.  They're essentially road legal slicks.  I ran them at Donington & am now going to run them for the summer on my light grey Monty 2's.  In the dry, they grip like nothing you've experienced before - I was utterly amazed by them.  And the beauty is.............  They get even stickier when they've got some heat in them, too!!  Downside is, they're only average in the wet, until you get some heat in them (which takes longer, of course).

(I run the F1's on some V6 4M Brands Hatch alloys for the winter months, BTW).

F1's all the way mate, ive done 2000 miles on mine and havent worn the rubber nipples off mine

toyos are good having tested them with an m3 recently and stick to the road like glue when new but ive heard that they wear quickly and some people have found that when they are gone down to 3mm they dont seem to grip aswell but that said rich has never had a problem with his and ive been fitting them to his car 4 2 years now

Yeah ive been quite pleased with the toyos TBH - After hearing all your comments might go for a change when these are dead....

It's hard to say, as I'm always swapping wheels &/or swapping fronts to rear etc, but I'd say you should get 15k out of a set.  I would rate them as medium wear compared to the T1's being soft, for example.
