which oil?

afternoon

ok my oil change is well over due and was wondering what your opinions were on which oil i should get?....

mines the mk3 16v showing 145,000 miles 

i used mobile1 last time but not sure if i should be using fully synthetic with this sort of mileage....

can anyone shed some light and recommend a good oil?

Quantum the stuff you can get from vw dealers, cant go wrong with that as its made for vw's.

I recently did an oil change in my 16v with 142k with this stuff.

Any 10/40 is fine, no need to blow loads of cash on the Quantum stuff....

think i need to do this, oil light is coming on like every 5 mins!!!!! Could be an error in sensor?!?!

I am using mineral oil atm, does that mean i should stick to that, cause changing to synthetic or watever is not good?!?! Basically, should i keep using mineral?

And It comes in 5L, enough for the ABF which holds 4.3 ish.

Half the oils only come in damn 4L

yeah i bought a tub for about 20-30 as said above and it did me for a full change.

Didnt have any spare to keep for top up so ill have to pop in the dealer and get some top up sized tub
