I saw one in Chesterfield when I picked the car up - Tornado red 3dr - looked good in the sun.

Maybe the yanks are having the same issues..I guy asked me to make his inserts with the number   #1113 on them..Maybe he decided to have his own plate in his seats...

Been giving this some thought. Not sure how VW are going to play this as surley sending them out to owners doesn't guarantee that they will either get fitted at all, or in the correct position. To make this work they are going to have to be fitted in a specific place or it will just make a mockery of the whole gesture??

Im thinking the only way for VW to do this the 'right' way would be to send them to supplying dealers and for the current owners to take the car in for the plaque to be fitted in a specific location??

Going back to the Mk4 plaque I got recently, VW supplied the plaque and a template so it goes in the correct place on the fuse box - I would think they would do something similar.

Gulf - you might have a good idea there for the Ed30 owners, seat plaques!  I bet you end up doing a few.

Are the plaques defo going to be numbered?? i would have thought this adds to the value of all the official uk ones! Well done hotrod!!

Is it definitely a plaque to go in the car or something to hang on your wall at home ?
