Hi guys, can anyone help me out.

I dont know which alarm/immobilizer i have but it is working like siht. I have to be like a meter away from the car for the remote central locking to work. Other than changing the battery in the fob, what else can i do to improve range?

cheers

Battery change would be the first thing, get the number off the battery and google it, theres websites dedicated to small watch type batterys.

They are not alarm specific by the way, there just like a watch battery as far as i know.

Also another tip, point the end of the remote onto the underside of your chin and then press the button, this makes the range longer because your body is acting like a huge ariel, thats why tvs picture gets better if you touch it( talking about crap indoor ariels of course)

if you can find the alarm box in the car, its the same as mine but i dont know where it is. Then connect the ariel from teh alarm to the car radio ariel. then you will get a 10 mile range!

same as my alarm.... made by scorpion (so my local vw place says?) and i can open my car from 50 meters away!! battery time first! and if that dosent work get a new alarm fitted and the vw one removed! cheaper than buying parts!
