1.3 for 16v transplant

iv got a 1.8 16v motor and box what else do i need to put it in a 1.3 golf

fuel pump, all mounts, wiring loom etc etc what about brakes on the back suspension roll bars, upgraded brakes on the front? you done all that?

...the rest of the 16v golf that went with engine would be a fair start.

i wouldnt try a 1.3 to 1.8 16v conversion. you need to uprate not only the brakes but suspension at the very least.

the list becomes endless.

Buy a 1.6 if you plan to do that swap.

why a 1.6?its already got ajustable coilovers,16v rear brakes, front soon,fuel pump and e/mounts.i used to have the full 16vcar i wrote it of at xmas. this conv is for my girlfriends motor.the only thing i didnt get of the car is front hubs,driveshafts and all wiring.will i be able to use gti 8v d/shafts for 16v box and 1.3 hubs?

must have been a mint 1.3! wont the insurance be high?
