here is the Autowatch http://www.abacuscaralarms.co.uk/alarms/autowatch/hijack.htm

here is the Sempal  http://www.sempal.co.uk/acatalog/SPAL_ANTI_HI-JACKING_SYSTEM.html

i always fancied the sempal, but never got round to getting one, i have had Blacjax but never got on with it (due to the need to enter codes by hand), which is why i think the sempal is the one to go for

the thing is people who steal cars dont want to get caught and will do anything to not get caught, if they do your the reason there in the nick and then they come looking for you.
where are all these gti,s that are being nicked are they being stripped or exported.
your not safe in the car either i read on tsn a couple of years ago about a chap with his young son parked in a tesco carpark who had a knife put against his sons throat and then thieving scum drove off in his gti.

Ive got Revo switch, you can disable the ecu completly this means no wway of starting the car,

I dont use on the drive, but ideal for if the car was left at airport etc.

its f**kin well sh!t all this stuff, but it does and will happen, just got to be aware of it and take a few measures to stop it happening to yourself.

ive got pepper spray and a big metal bar upstairs with me and my keys, feck the scum bags!!! i'd rather pepper spray the landing, and hope for the best :)

sayin that, id prob get done off the dibble for havin the spray in the first place, hey ho good old britain for you tho :(

sometimes does seem easier just to give em the keys tho,can see some ppl's point, especially if you have kids and missus in the house etc....

you do realise that the police reguard pepper spray, mace,cs gas etc as a firearm. they are totally illegal and you will end up in more trouble than the scroate thats broken into your house. not worth it get rid asap.

I first read this thread last week and did worry about the fact I will have to leave mine on a residential car park. Then yesterday morning I got a call off my mate who was on his tenth day of GTI ownership. He woke up to find his GTI missing, went downstairs and found that they'd got in through his front door and taken his wallet, £1k watch, mobile, his mrs' purse and his key's. Its just unbelieveable that people will stoop so low to take what you work hard to get.

He hadnt helped matters by leaving his keys in the door but what is tsrange was that his dog didnt bark. He has no idea what they did but the dog cowering in the corner when a mate went round to pick him up, so it seems they have done something to keep the dog quiet.

The car was seen heading into Birmingham on CCTV in the early hours...probably the last time it will be seen in its current form. I really fear for mine when it arrives now.

PURE POND LIFE.
