So, anyone on hear from Abingdon/Oxford?
« on: 08 May 2008, 12:34 »
As the title suggests, anyone on hear from Abingdon/Oxford

I've seen a few nice Mk2's about, especially a awesome black G60 yesterday!

Are there any meets around this area, would be up for going to a few!

I'm from Didcot, there are a few others from Oxford and close by.
There is a VW meet in Abingdon once a month, I still have to go to one... but for the life of me I can never remember it!

I was in Abingdon and drove past a house that had 3 MK2's  I wanted to go and knock on the door but the wife said I'd look like a weirdo...  :embarassed:

Yea be up for a meet, the one in Marston sounds good, any one know when exactly it is, don't want to turn up and no one be there, lol!

Hopefully my new wheels and coilovers will be on by next month, got some nice Porsche wheels, 10J at the rear, 9J at the front, should be interesting!

... Was it down the Oxford Road, just before the Convent School? Saw three parked there too, was tempted to say hey but didn't want to seem like a weirdo either

Yep I'm from Abingdon, got a Bright Blue Metalic MK2 GTI and a Pearl Grey MK2 race car

There's a good meet which I go to at Swindon, next one is on May 24th, check out Dublands.co.uk. Sorry don't know how to post it as a link.

Not you mate as 2 of them were red, I don't know what road it was on, except that it lead to the A34.
